Beta Motorcycles Australia Race Report – QORC Rounds 4 & 5, Cooby Dam QLD
1st June 2021 Beta and Fraser Higlett win on debut! Rounds 4 & 5 of the Queensland Off Road Championship (QORC) was held at Cooby Dam near Toowoomba QLD over the weekend. The track was dry and quite technical with some extreme rock sections. It was the first event for the newly formed Beta Australia Factory Enduro Team with rider Fraser Higlett. Beta Australia Hard Enduro rider Ruben Chadwick was also available to attend and showed he is no slouch at regular Enduro competition.
Fraser Higlett could not have asked for a better start, winning both days outright. Quote from Fraser Higlett: “It was an awesome weekend, so great to get the win both days on the Beta RR 430 Racing. The bike was faultless from start to finish. I loved the weekend, had heaps of fun and I’m really keen to keep it going for the rest of the year and into the future”
Ruben Chadwick had a great weekend, 3rd outright Saturday and 4th outright Sunday Quote from Ruben Chadwick: “I had a heap of fun on the weekend, It’s been ages since I’ve raced sprints so really happy to come away with a 3rd and a 4th outright. The track was really demanding but I enjoyed it, from fast open sections to a couple of technical rock gardens which suited my riding style. It seemed like the harder and faster I pushed the bike the better it felt, so I’m really stoked!”
